Fall is here—even if our Sugar Land weather hasn’t quite gotten the memo yet! 🍂😂
When the season is over, don’t send your pumpkins and gourds to the landfill. Compost them instead! This community initiative gives your pumpkins a second life by turning them into valuable compost and keeping organic waste out of the landfill.
Before you drop them off:
🎃 Remove candles and tea lights
🎃 Remove stickers and labels
🎃 Remove ribbons, paint, decorations, and anything else that isn’t compostable
Keep it simple: pumpkins + gourds = compost!
Bring your pumpkins and gourds to the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land and help turn seasonal decorations into a resource for healthy soil.
