Improving Our Environment Through Education and Engagement

Let’s Celebrate Earth Day at home!

Explore nature in your own backyard:

  • Make a Nature Bracelet:
    • Wrap a piece of masking tape to child’s wrist – sticky side up
    • Go outside to find leaves, flowers, and other interesting nature items to place on the tape bracelet.
    • When finished exploring, use scissors to snip off bracelet.
    • Display in your home – Enjoy
  • Go on a family Nature Hunt:
    • Create a list of objects to collect: bird’s feather, rock, leaf, etc.
    • Give each player a paper bag and a list of objects to collect
    • Lists may be the same or different for each player
    • Set a time limit: maybe 15 minutes to find 10 objects
